Holy Severed Limbs
I finished up the script I was working on last night. Did a quick edit job on it and it looks good. I need to find myself a real editor to look over my work. I have a few types of grammatical problems that no matter how hard I try I just can't seem to stop doing. I tend to leave off letters like typing "the" instead of "then" or "you" instead of "your"... also I use the word "then" when I mean to use "than". I'm pretty good at editing other people's work, but because I know what I was trying to type my mind tends to play tricks on me and sees what's supposed to be there. I figured I will get someone else to read the script tomorrow, see if I missed anything and then send it off to the editor. I figure three weeks after that I can expect to get "notes" on it.
A friend of mine sent me an ad for a new product... a watch with a GPS transponder in it so you can put it on your kids and find them if they go missing. The watch has a locking clasp that you need a special key to open. This seems like a good idea at first, but the thought that popped into my head was disturbing, but scarrily possible. It takes a while to realize that a child is missing... even if they are at a park with there parents... if they are very watchful, say 10 minutes form abduction to activating the GPS trasnponder. Now, how long do you think it would take to cut a childs hand off with a hacksaw? I know that is incredibly sick... but these watches don't look like normal watches and if someone is sick enough to grab a kid, how can you assume that wouldn't go the next step?
On a related note with the last paragraph... I picked up a Monty Python and the Holy Grail: 12 inch Black Knight figure with detachable limbs. Yeah I'm an adult but this thing rocks.
I updated the Comic World News tonight... so go read the latest stuff. I have to get to transcribing my latest interview... Eric Powell (The Hood, The Goon).
Sorry about all the severed limb stuff Mom.
